Residents of Kyiv experienced terror and chaos when the first explosions rang just before 7 a.m. (0500 GMT). The attack was repelled by air defence systems, as revealed by Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, via the messaging app Telegram. It\u2019s still unknown as of the time of publishing whether the attack has caused any serious damage or casualties.<\/p>\n

The governor of the Kharkiv area in northeastern Ukraine, Oleh Sinehubov, announced that non-residential infrastructure in Kharkiv city, the territory\u2019s administrative hub, was the target of Russian missiles.
