Former BJP MLC and the party\u2019s Srinagar parliamentary constituency in-charge, Surinder Ambardar, asserted that the Congress, once a formidable force in Indian politics, has now transformed into a non-performing asset (NPA) and a liability for the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ambardar substantiated his claims by pointing to recent political developments, such as Mamata Banerjee\u2019s Trinamool Congress (TMC) deciding to contest the Lok Sabha elections independently and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar\u2019s departure from the INDIA alliance to rejoin the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). These instances, according to Ambardar, underscore the declining appeal and influence of the Congress party in the political landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking to reporters at the inauguration of the BJP\u2019s election office in the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Ambardar emphasized the BJP\u2019s commitment to the electoral process, symbolized by the inauguration of election offices across all five constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He highlighted the meticulous planning undertaken by the BJP for the upcoming elections, with the establishment of 38 departments, each with designated convenors and co-convenors, to oversee various aspects ranging from election management to social media engagement and strategic planning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asserting the BJP\u2019s electoral ambitions, Ambardar stated the party\u2019s goal of securing at least 330 seats independently in the forthcoming general elections. He expressed confidence in the NDA\u2019s prospects, predicting a tally exceeding 400 seats and anticipating Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s triumphant return for a third consecutive term.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Ashok Koul, the BJP\u2019s general secretary (organisation) for Jammu and Kashmir, echoed Ambardar\u2019s sentiments regarding the disintegration of the INDIA alliance, attributing its collapse to superficial engagements devoid of substantial political consensus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Koul dismissed the possibility of any political party in Kashmir allying with the Congress, citing the dissolution of the Gupkar alliance as evidence of fractured political dynamics in the region.
