Radio Liberty, an international broadcasting organization, has released satellite imagery that provides a stark visual of the aftermath. The images reveal the extent of the damage, showing that half of the facility's fuel tanks — three out of six — have been completely burned out.
The source added that it was one of more than 20 such attacks Ukrainian forces have carried out in recent months against the Russian oil industry and related infrastructure.
While Ukraine has not officially claimed responsibility for this specific attack, it aligns with their previous operations targeting Russian energy assets.
The Rostov region, due to its proximity to Ukraine and its strategic importance, has been a frequent target of these drone operations.
