These soldiers, who fled from their camp in Chin State’s Paletwa in Myanmar, have expressed their desire to surrender to the Assam Rifles, India's oldest paramilitary force.
On Sunday night, close to 5,000 citizens from Myanmar, including 39 army personnel, entered India. This influx occurred after a confrontation between rebel groups and the military, along with bombings in two villages near the border on the Indian side.
