Israeli forces also conducted airstrikes on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City earlier in the evening.
Palestinians are evacuating the Bureiji and Nuseirat refugee camps in central Gaza under new orders from the Israeli army. Those orders now cover 86 percent of Gaza, leaving only 14 percent of the area exempt from evacuation orders, according to the UN Palestine Refugee Agency.
According to UNRWA, 86 percent of the Gaza Strip is now under similar orders.
Reports indicate that the airstrike, which occurred early this morning, specifically targeted a residential building in the densely populated area of Nuseirat. The building sustained substantial damage, leading to concerns about civilian casualties and displacements.
