Israeli forces conducted overnight operations in the occupied West Bank, arresting at least 40 people, mostly in the cities of Qalqilya and Nablus. The arrests were confirmed by the Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society.
The Israeli army confirmed an airstrike on the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus, which killed a wanted Palestinian. A paramedic was also seriously injured in the operation carried out by the plane.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing a vehicle drive away from the scene. Israeli security forces quickly responded in the area, setting up roadblocks and searching for the perpetrators.
Exclusive footage obtained and verified by Al Jazeera's Sanad Agency captured the intensity of the situation. The video showed Israeli soldiers, heavily armed and equipped, storming the town while young Palestinian men, fueled by anger and frustration, retaliated by hurling stones at their vehicles.
As Palestinian communities in Nablus and Jericho grapple with the aftermath of the raids and the detention of their loved ones, calls for accountability and an end to Israeli military incursions into civilian areas are expected to grow louder both locally and internationally.
