According to a Hezbollah Telegram report, the attack was carried out in retaliation for an Israeli military attack on the village of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon, which reportedly caused civilian casualties. The group claimed that the accuracy of the drone attack caused both death and injury among deployed soldiers.
"Desperate health conditions promote the spread of diseases such as hepatitis A," UNRWA said on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The agency stressed the urgent need for immediate international assistance to address the public health crisis and prevent the epidemic from worsening.
