Israeli professors call for Gaza ceasefire to combat polio outbreak
In a recent opinion piece in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, eight prominent professors of epidemiology, haematology and other health sciences call for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza. Their appeal is in response to the detection of polio in sewage samples collected from the besieged and bombed coastal region.
