The Home Minister's remarks come amid ongoing debates and concerns surrounding the implications of the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's semi-autonomous status.
The petition, filed by Fatima through Advocate Anand S Jondhale, sought a direction to the Election Commission to disqualify PM Modi from elections for six years under the Representation of People Act.

By clubbing the three parties together as the 'B' team of the BJP, Gandhi sought to discredit their claims of being true alternatives to the incumbent state government. He accused them of being mere extensions of the BJP's ideology and agenda, despite their rhetoric against the saffron party.
Kejriwal alleged a concerted effort by the BJP to target the AAP, claiming, "The Aam Aadmi Party is a small party, we are in power in two states, and the PM is determined to finish our party. Together, they sent four top leaders of our to jail - myself, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendra Jain."
Addressing the crowd, a visibly elated Kejriwal said, "I am coming straight from jail to you. It feels great to be with you after 50 days. I just went to Hanuman temple with my wife and CM Bhagwant Mann. Bajrang Bali's blessings are on our party and us. It is by his grace that I am among you today."
According to the lawyers, efforts will be made to secure Kejriwal's release from Tihar Jail as early as possible, potentially on the same day as the order.
