The seismic shocks were felt over a wide area, with reports of tremors being experienced in distant locations such as Kathmandu and even as far as 600 kilometers (375 miles) away in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported that this seismic event occurred at 7:32 pm local time and was situated at a depth of 10 kilometers.
