The MoU, signed during a high-profile ceremony in Cairo, outlines several key areas of cooperation, including joint media projects, cultural exchange programs, and mutual support for media training initiatives.
"The situation with Egypt right now is the worst it's been since the war started," an unnamed Israeli official told the Haaretz newspaper. "At the beginning of the war, the Egyptians showed understanding toward our position."
As relayed by Ynetnews, Israeli officials familiar with the negotiations state that while military operations continue in Rafah, the possibility of a truce has not been completely abandoned. Israel is open to working towards an agreement if it receives "answers from Hamas that we can work with," the unnamed officials told Ynet.
