The escalation reflects a broader pattern observed this month, with PLA aircraft having been tracked 218 times and Chinese naval vessels 106 times around Taiwan’s airspace and waters.
According to the MND, out of the 27 aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), 17 crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait into the nation’s southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
The MND indicated that seven of the 14 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line, entering the northern and central sectors of ADIZ.
