Malaysia promotes EduTourism and MICE opportunities in Hanoi

Two significant events highlighting Malaysia’s EduTourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) offerings took place in Hà Nội on September 26 and 27. Organized by the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board at the Malaysian embassy, the Malaysia EduTourism Seminar and MICE Expo aimed to provide Vietnamese visitors with insights into the diverse educational experiences and meeting opportunities available in Malaysia.

Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam, Tan Yang Thai, emphasized the potential of Malaysia’s educational tourism to foster collaboration and cultural exchange between the two nations. He highlighted that Malaysia provides high-quality educational programs paired with unique travel experiences, making it an attractive destination for Vietnamese students.

On September 27, the MICE Expo further showcased Malaysia as a premier destination for meetings and conferences. The expo highlighted the advantages of selecting Malaysia for MICE events, including convenient travel options, competitive costs, and a rich array of cultural, culinary, and shopping experiences. An official from the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau noted that MICE travelers could benefit from visa-free travel and luxurious accommodations at renowned hotels such as Hilton Kuala Lumpur, EQ Kuala Lumpur, and Shangri-La Hotel.

The expo also featured information about top convention centers, including Setia Spice and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Destinations like Putrajaya, Langkawi, and Sabah were presented as ideal venues that offer diverse cultural experiences and thrilling activities, such as white-water rafting, cave exploration, and trekking.

Overall, these events underscored Malaysia’s commitment to promoting its educational and MICE offerings, paving the way for stronger ties and greater collaboration between Malaysia and Vietnam.
