The two-day ‘Conference of Governors,’ held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, concluded today with President Droupadi Murmu underscoring critical issues such as tribal welfare, women empowerment, natural farming, and drug addiction. In her closing remarks, the President commended the efforts of the Governors’ groups, who were tasked with addressing various national concerns and offering actionable suggestions.
The President highlighted the significant work undertaken by the groups of Governors, which included deliberations on pressing issues affecting different sectors of society. “The work done by the Governors’ groups has been exemplary, and the suggestions they have offered will serve as a crucial guide for future policies and initiatives,” the President remarked. She emphasized the importance of translating these recommendations into concrete actions to address the issues of tribal welfare, promote women’s empowerment, and tackle drug addiction, among others.
The concluding session also featured addresses from Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah.
