Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann defends Arvind Kejriwal, declares: ‘Kejriwal is not just a person, but a thought process’

“People want to hear Arvind Kejriwal. Wherever I went during election campaigning, I said Arvind Kejriwal is not a person, Arvind Kejriwal is the name of a thought,” stated Mann. His words seemed to elevate Kejriwal beyond a mere political leader to a symbol of a movement.

In a defiant stance against the recent allegations and turmoil surrounding Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann came out strongly in his support. Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Mann portrayed Kejriwal not just as an individual but as an embodiment of a larger ideology and thought process.

Mann’s remarks gain significance in light of the recent corruption charges levelled against Kejriwal and the acrimonious battle between the BJP-led central government and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi. By depicting Kejriwal as a “thought process,” Mann appears to be suggesting that even if attempts are made to corner the AAP chief, the ideas he represents cannot be suppressed.

“You can arrest a person but how will you arrest a thought process?” questioned Mann rhetorically, hinting at the inability of Kejriwal’s detractors to curb the principles he stands for, even if legal actions are initiated against him personally.

Mann’s steadfast backing of Kejriwal underscores the solidarity within the AAP ranks, especially between the party’s two prominent chief ministers. As the tussle between the AAP and the BJP intensifies, Mann’s portrayal of Kejriwal as an ideological force rather than just an individual could rally more supporters behind the latter’s cause.
