Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a grand roadshow in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on May 13, a day before he is scheduled to officially submit his nomination for the Lok Sabha seat. The event is expected to be a massive show of strength and support for the Prime Minister, with organizers anticipating lakhs of people to join the roadshow.
The roadshow will commence with Modi paying homage to the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the main gate of Banaras Hindu University’s Lanka campus, as per district officials. The procession will then traverse through major areas of the city, including Assi, Sonarpura, Jangam Bari, Godaulia, and Bansphatak, before culminating at the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.
BJP leader Dilip Patel revealed that the Prime Minister’s anticipated five-kilometre-long roadshow will be a grand affair, with party workers leaving no stone unturned to ensure its historic proportions. Meetings are being organized across all Assembly constituencies within the Varanasi parliamentary constituency on Wednesday to mobilize support and assign responsibilities to workers.
Extensive meetings are also scheduled with workers across all 21 divisions of the constituency, as the party machinery works round the clock to ensure maximum participation in the roadshow. Varanasi has been a stronghold for Modi, who secured victories in the constituency in both 2014 and 2019.
The upcoming roadshow and nomination filing are expected to be a resplendent display of Modi’s popularity and the BJP’s organizational strength in the region. The Prime Minister is set to receive a rousing reception from his supporters, who are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their leader in the historic city of Varanasi.
