In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the PM of resorting to desperate measures and using language unbecoming of his office. The letter, which has escalated the war of words between the two parties ahead of crucial state elections, takes aim at PM Modi’s recent communication to NDA candidates.
According to Kharge, the Prime Minister’s letter to NDA candidates is a reflection of his desperation, as his “lies” during campaign speeches are not having the intended effect. Kharge alleges that PM Modi is now seeking to amplify these “lies” by urging NDA candidates to propagate them further.
The Congress chief’s scathing letter suggests that PM Modi’s claims during his speeches are not resonating with the electorate, prompting him to adopt a more aggressive approach through his party’s candidates. Kharge asserts that the voters are intelligent enough to read and understand the Congress party’s manifesto and the guarantees it has promised.
One of the key allegations made by Kharge in his letter pertains to PM Modi’s claims about reservations for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). According to the Congress President, PM Modi has falsely claimed that the opposition party plans to take away reservations from these communities and distribute them to “our vote bank.”
Kharge denies this accusation, stating that the Congress party’s votebank encompasses every Indian citizen, and it has no intention of tampering with the existing reservation system.
As the election campaign intensifies, such verbal clashes are expected to escalate further, with both sides accusing each other of spreading misinformation and resorting to desperate tactics to sway voters.
