The Ministry of External Affairs announced that India will be the host nation for the 3rd Voice of Global South Summit, scheduled for August 17, 2024. This significant event builds upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’—a framework promoting collective progress and inclusive development for all.
The summit reflects India’s enduring philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which translates to “the world is one family.” This guiding principle underscores India’s approach to fostering global solidarity and cooperation, aiming to address common challenges and promote shared prosperity.
The Voice of Global South Summit is designed to amplify the voices of developing nations and promote dialogue on key issues impacting the global south. It aims to strengthen international collaboration, highlight mutual interests, and advance collective solutions to pressing global challenges.
The upcoming summit reaffirms India’s role as a pivotal player in global diplomacy and development, emphasizing its commitment to a united and equitable world order.
