India to establish embassy in Timor-Leste, announces MEA Secretary

MEA Secretary, while addressing the press, highlighted that the decision to establish the embassy underscores India’s commitment to strengthening ties with Timor-Leste. Just before the first-ever Head of state first-ever visit to Timor-Leste, this has been announced. Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste will be the final leg of President Murmu’s tour on Aug 10 after the visit to Fiji and New Zealand.
