Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi’s visit to the Sufi Shrine of Sain Baba Miran Sahib in Poonch district garnered local appreciation, acknowledging her instrumental role in reshaping the J&K Waqf Board into a transparent and dynamic entity. During her inspection of the shrine campus, she meticulously evaluated existing facilities for devotees and identified infrastructural requirements, accompanied by Waqf Board CEO Dr. Amir Hussain and other officials. A subsequent meeting with Board officers yielded decisions aimed at bolstering campus amenities.
Engaging with public delegations, Andrabi addressed pressing community concerns, showcasing her commitment to grassroots engagement. She further chaired a meeting with esteemed religious figures, including Mufti Farooq Misbahi and Hafiz Abdul Majeed Madani, discussing pertinent religious and social issues. This dialogue underscored Andrabi’s dedication to fostering interfaith harmony and understanding.
In her interaction with the media, Dr Andrabi expressed optimism regarding the improved law and order situation in J&K, remarking on the region’s visible strides in development, particularly in the Pir Panjal area.
Dr. Darakhshan emphasized, “After enduring decades of unrest, J&K presently experiences a period of peace, necessitating our collective commitment to preserving it for the prosperity of our youth.” She extended gratitude to the community for their backing of the Waqf Board’s developmental initiatives and affirmed ongoing efforts to bolster infrastructure at Sufi spiritual sites.
