As of 11:30 am TST on Monday, 3 February 2025, several of Taiwan’s highest-volume stocks faced steep losses amid broader market weakness, with only a few exceptions.
Hon Hai Precision Industry recorded one of the sharpest declines, falling 8.33% to 165.0 TWD, while Quanta Computer dropped 9.83% to 243.0 TWD. LuxNet Corporation also saw significant losses, slipping 9.28% to 220.0 TWD.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, a key player in the global chip industry, declined 6.17% to 1,065 TWD, while Alchip Technologies dropped 4.47% to 2,990 TWD.
In contrast, MediaTek Inc. was one of the few stocks to post gains, rising 1.37% to 1,485 TWD, showing some resilience in an otherwise weak session.
