At 11:59 am Monday, 13 January 2025 (GMT+8), Elite Advanced Laser Corp experienced the steepest decline among high-volume stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, dropping 7.63% to 290.5 TWD.
Other major players also faced losses, including MediaTek Inc, which fell 4.44% to 1,400 TWD, and Hon Hai Precision Industry, down 4.41% to 173.5 TWD.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, despite being a key market driver, slipped 1.36% to 1,085 TWD. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is the world’s leading semiconductor foundry, known for producing advanced chips for major technology firms, including Apple and NVIDIA.
Alchip Technologies Limited and Quanta Computer also declined, shedding 4.24% and 1.46%, respectively, with Quanta closing at 273.5 TWD.
