Known for his towering presence and dominance in the ring, Takayama has been battling complete cervical spinal cord damage since an accident during a DDT Osaka Toyonaka event on May 4, 2017.
The long-anticipated event marked Takayama’s first appearance in front of his fans in nearly seven years, after the tournament had been postponed since August 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
