Kawasaki Heavy Industries (7012) climbed 1.62% to 7,139 JPY, reflecting optimism in Japan’s industrial sector. Other high-volume stocks included Fujikura (5803), down 1.74% at 6,230 JPY, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (7011), which fell 1.38% to 2,209.5 JPY, and Advantest Corp (6857), which rose 0.65% to 8,606 JPY.
