Asian markets: Nikkei indices dips slightly at market open

Japan’s Nikkei 225 index opened on a negative note on 27th November, recording a drop of 0.43% or 166.99 points, as it stood at 38,274.79 JPY at 10:04 am local time. The index opened at 38,327.86 JPY, briefly fluctuating within the day’s range of 38,201.41 JPY to 38,332.45 JPY.

As of the latest data (06:34 UTC+5.5), the index reflected a slight dip of 0.42% over the past day. In the past five days, it has experienced a modest decline of 0.19%, but over the last month, it has gained 1.38%. In the six months, the Nikkei 225 saw a slight increase of 0.28%, while its year-to-date performance remains strong with a notable 15.33% rise.

Over the past year, the index has gained 14.20%.

The market’s performance today follows a previous close of 38,441.78 JPY.
