ANYCOLOR Inc., the company behind the popular VTuber groups “Nijisanji” and “NIJISANJI EN,” announced on September 2 that it is investigating potential copyright infringement allegations against its affiliated live streamers. The announcement follows claims made by external influencers during YouTube broadcasts, prompting ANYCOLOR to assess the situation and ensure the integrity of its operations.
According to ANYCOLOR’s statement on their official website and social media platform “X,” the investigation was launched after musician Toshiki Yabunaka, known as YAB and a representative partner of YAB Entertainment LLC, issued an apology on the same day. Yabunaka acknowledged spreading false information that implicated Nijisanji-affiliated live streamers and employees. He also admitted to taking secret photos of a live streamer’s appearance and using them to make defamatory comments, actions that he deeply regrets.
ANYCOLOR emphasized its commitment to protecting its streamers’ well-being, stating that legal action against malicious acts is being considered. The company has temporarily made private several pieces of content, including “I tried singing” videos and social media posts of live streamers involved, to prevent further victimization. These actions are intended to safeguard the privacy of the affected individuals while the investigation continues.
The company urged the public to avoid disseminating lists of the private content and deleted posts, as such actions could lead to secondary victimization. ANYCOLOR also pledged to improve the working environment for its streamers, including reviewing creator selection criteria and maintaining rigorous standards for future collaborations.
ANYCOLOR requested that all inquiries related to the matter be directed to their official contact desk, while asking the public to refrain from contacting their affiliated streamers directly. The company stressed its dedication to ensuring that such incidents do not recur, highlighting a commitment to the mental and physical health of its talents.
