On Monday, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese President, engaged in discussions with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Vietnamese President, during a state visit in Beijing. This meeting marks Lam’s inaugural overseas trip since assuming office as CPV General Secretary.
