Hong Kong’s stock market witnessed mixed trading on Monday, as major tech and auto stocks showed varying performances. Tencent Holdings Limited (HK:700), one of the most actively traded stocks, fell 0.55% to HKD 434.6. Meituan (HK:3690), however, saw a modest gain of 0.98%, closing at HKD 164.3.

Among smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi Corporation (HK:1810) dipped slightly by 0.23% to HKD 43.65, reflecting cautious investor sentiment. Meanwhile, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (HK:981) edged up by 0.21%, closing at HKD 47.90.

BYD Electronic International Co. Ltd. (HK:285) led the gains, soaring 2.95% to HKD 55.85, as demand for electronic components remained strong. In contrast, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (HK:175) suffered a sharp decline of 7.11%, dropping to HKD 16.46, likely due to market concerns over the automotive sector.
