Semiconductor Manufacturing International Co. (SMIC) surged 1.61% to close at HKD 37.80, maintaining investor confidence in the semiconductor sector. Tencent Holdings Limited advanced by 1.11%, closing at HKD 384.2, indicating stable growth in the tech industry. Xiaomi Corporation gained 2.38%, reaching HKD 34.40, while Meituan registered an impressive increase of 3.46%, ending at HKD 149.5.
In other significant movements, Kuaishou Technology rose 3.11%, closing at HKD 41.45, reflecting renewed optimism in the digital content sector. Shanghai Conant Optical Co. Ltd added 1.45%, ending at HKD 24.45.
However, the spotlight of volatility was on Quantum Thinking Ltd, which soared 58.19%, closing at HKD 0.280, making it the most volatile stock of the day. Lever Style Corporation followed with a 25.30% rise to HKD 1.04, suggesting strong investor interest. Meanwhile, GL-Carlink Technology Holding Ltd fell sharply by 28.22% to HKD 20.36, and China Health Group Ltd dropped 23.86%, closing at HKD 0.335.
Henan Jinyuan Hydrogenated Chemicals Co. saw a decline of 22.45%, closing at HKD 0.380, while Jiande International Holdings Ltd experienced a 12.50% rise to HKD 0.018.
