Hong Kong stocks witnessed a mixed trading session as Meituan and Tencent saw declines, while Wuxi Biologics surged by 5.94%, leading gains in the market.

The Hong Kong stock market showed mixed results in today’s trading session, with some stocks witnessing sharp declines while others posted strong gains. Meituan (3690) led the losers, closing at HKD 163.1, marking a significant drop of 2.57%. Similarly, Tencent Holdings Limited (700) edged lower by 0.25% to HKD 398.8.

On the other hand, Wuxi Biologics (Cayman) Inc (2269) emerged as a top performer, surging by 5.94% to close at HKD 16.42. The biotech firm’s impressive gains came amid investor optimism around the healthcare sector.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Corporation (1810) recorded an uptick of 1.05%, ending at HKD 28.85, and Kuaishou Technology (1024) climbed 0.51% to HKD 48.85, continuing their steady upward trajectory. AIA Group Limited (1299) experienced a slight drop of 0.60%, finishing at HKD 57.55.
