CSI 1000 Index records gains amid mixed index performance
China’s major indices closed with mixed results today, with the CSI 1000 Index (CSI1000) emerging as a top performer. It recorded a 1.36% gain, reaching 6,510.1809 CNY, signaling positive momentum in smaller-cap stocks within the market. The SZSE Composite Index also saw a modest increase, rising by 0.58% to close at 2,106.8620 CNY, reflecting renewed investor interest in smaller and tech-focused companies.
SSE Composite and Shenzhen Component see minor losses
On the downside, the SSE Composite Index (SSEC) and Shenzhen Component Index (SZCOMP) both experienced slight declines. The SSE Composite fell by 0.12% to settle at 3,448.0433 CNY, and the Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.14% to 11,145.7139 CNY. This dip suggests cautious sentiment in larger-cap stocks, with mixed signals from economic data likely impacting broader market performance.
