China is taking significant steps to address the global artificial intelligence (AI) divide and support sustainable development efforts. The country’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, recently announced the AI Capacity Building Action Plan for Good and All. This initiative aims to promote the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which focuses on eradicating poverty and ensuring peace and prosperity worldwide.
The plan highlights China’s commitment to sharing its AI knowledge and expertise with developing nations. By the end of 2025, China will organize ten training programs specifically designed to enhance AI skills in these countries.
