China and Indonesia are set to hold their first Senior Officials Meeting of the China-Indonesia Joint Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue. This pivotal dialogue, launched in 2023, represents the first 2+2 ministerial dialogue established between China and another country.
According to a statement issued by a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry at a recent press conference, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong and Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission Zhang Baoqun will lead the Chinese delegation to Jakarta. The meeting marks a significant moment in the bilateral relations between the two nations.
The dialogue aims to enhance strategic cooperation and address critical regional and international issues of mutual interest.
