China has urged the international community to work together to achieve a full and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a coordinated and consistent approach to address the conflict. This call was highlighted in a recent statement reported by Global Times. The appeal came during a high-level call between China and Jordan, reflecting the two countries’ shared commitment to peace in the Middle East.
China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, underscored the urgency of the situation, pointing out the critical role of Jordan in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and promoting peace in the Middle East. He noted that China is prepared to maintain communication and coordination with Jordan to bring the involved parties together. Wang emphasized the importance of all parties refraining from actions that could escalate the conflict and urged a swift resumption of ceasefire negotiations.
During his discussions, Wang Yi expressed China’s firm stance on supporting Arab countries in their efforts to achieve a permanent and full ceasefire in Gaza.
