China and Kyrgyzstan strengthen strategic partnership

On Friday, Beijing hosted a significant meeting between China’s top political advisor, Wang Huning, and Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev. The meeting aimed to strengthen the bilateral ties between China and Kyrgyzstan, advancing their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Wang, who chairs the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), highlighted the progress made under the strategic guidance of the leaders from both nations. He underscored China’s commitment to implementing the consensus reached by the heads of state and to advancing a community of shared future characterised by good neighbourliness and mutual prosperity. Wang expressed China’s readiness to work with Kyrgyzstan to sustain and elevate their bilateral relations, emphasising the CPPCC’s willingness to enhance exchanges with its Kyrgyz counterparts to further this aim.

Shakiev congratulated China on its accomplishments in various fields and affirmed that Kyrgyzstan perceives no political barriers to further cooperation. He conveyed the Kyrgyz Parliament’s readiness to collaborate closely with the CPPCC National Committee, aiming to support the continued development of their bilateral relationship.
