The Hong Kong stock market experienced a turbulent session, with major stocks reflecting a mixed response. Tencent Holdings Limited (700) recorded a steep decline of 7.28%, trading at HKD 379.6, amidst broader market uncertainty. Similarly, Xiaomi Corporation (1810) dropped by 5.92%, closing at HKD 34.15. These declines highlight investor concerns in the tech sector.

On the brighter side, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (981) exhibited resilience, gaining 5.06% to close at HKD 31.15. The positive movement was fueled by optimism around the semiconductor industry’s global recovery.
