Taipei, 12:31 pm Tuesday, 28 January 2025 (GMT+8) — Taiwan’s stock market witnessed notable activity with sharp gains and losses among high-volume stocks.
LuxNet Corporation led the day’s gainers, surging by 9.98% to 242.5 TWD, closely followed by Mitac Holdings Corporation, which climbed 9.94% to 73.0 TWD.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), a key player on the exchange, posted a modest 1.34% gain, closing at 1,135 TWD.
On the other hand, Wiwynn Corporation saw the steepest decline, falling 5.29% to 2,240 TWD.
MediaTek Inc., another market heavyweight, remained flat at 1,465 TWD, while Elite Advanced Laser Corp recorded a slight uptick of 0.30%, closing at 334.5 TWD. These movements highlight the diverse performance within Taiwan’s stock exchange.
