Meanwhile, Asia Optical Co. Inc. stood out as the day’s top gainer, skyrocketing 9.69% to close at TWD 158.5, driven by optimism around its optical product line’s growing demand.
In other developments, Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known as Foxconn, edged up 0.82% to TWD 184.5.
However, MediaTek Inc., a leading chip designer, dipped 0.35% to TWD 1,420, marking a slight retreat.
Lastly, Elite Advanced Laser Corporation impressed with a solid gain of 5.51%, closing at TWD 249.0.
