Tokyo, 1:40 pm (local time): The Japanese stock market witnessed notable activity mid-day, with Sanrio Co Ltd emerging as the top performer among high-volume stocks, surging by 5.75% to trade at 4,670 JPY. Advantest Corp recorded the highest trading volume, despite a dip of 1.75%, placing its shares at 8,357 JPY.
Other high-volume stocks include Fujikura, down by 0.79% at 5,288 JPY, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which rose by 0.47% to reach 2,225.5 JPY. SoftBank Group Corp also showed stability with a 0.48% gain, trading at 9,024 JPY, while Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc added 0.28% to trade at 1,773 JPY.
