China’s highest volume stocks: Hainan Airlines up 9.9% as Shanghai Electric gains 5.57%

China’s highest-volume stocks saw positive movement today, led by Hainan Airlines with a 9.9% gain and Shanghai Electric up by 5.57%, reflecting high investor interest across sectors.

High-volume stocks make significant gains

As of 1:17 PM several high-volume stocks in China’s market recorded notable gains. Hainan Airlines Holding Company Limited (600221.SS) saw the most significant rise, gaining 9.90% and closing at 2.22 CNY. This increase reflects strong investor interest in the airline sector, likely influenced by growing travel demand. Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited (601727.SS) also experienced a substantial gain of 5.57%, closing at 11.38 CNY, driven by optimism in China’s industrial and energy markets.

Tech and financial stocks attract volume

In the tech and financial sectors, East Money Information Co. (300059.SZ) rose by 1.44% to close at 26.82 CNY. China Greatwall Technology (000066.SZ) saw a 4.98% increase, ending at 19.40 CNY. Hithink RoyalFlush Information Network (300033.SZ) was another major gainer, up 5.82% to 288.90 CNY, reflecting strong activity in the financial information sector. However, Seres Group Co., Ltd. (601127.SS) saw a slight decline of 0.83%, closing at 133.09 CNY, despite being a high-volume stock.
