In a solemn tribute marking the 75th founding anniversary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), a series of memorial ceremonies were held nationwide to honour the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and socialist cause. The main event took place at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, with senior officials, military personnel, and citizens in attendance.
During the commemoration, floral wreaths and bouquets were laid at the foot of the cemetery’s monuments, while attendees observed a moment of silence to pay their respects to the fallen heroes. The atmosphere was deeply reverent, with the participants reflecting on the dedication and sacrifices made by the martyrs, who played a crucial role in the country’s revolutionary history.

The commemorations also extended to other revolutionary sites and cemeteries across the nation, including the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri. Citizens, including young students and workers, actively participated in these ceremonies, reaffirming their commitment to upholding the revolutionary spirit and contributing to the nation’s ongoing development. This widespread participation reflects the DPRK’s emphasis on honouring its history and maintaining the ideals that form the foundation of the Republic.
