Senior officials and workers from the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and various sectors across North Korea convened to pay their respects at the site of the historic “Heochon Incident,” a significant revolutionary event in the country’s history. The gathering, held to mark the anniversary, saw the participation of key party members, representatives from the government and military, and ordinary citizens, demonstrating the nation’s continued reverence for its revolutionary heritage.
The event included a solemn ceremony at the Heochon Revolutionary Site, revered as a symbol of resistance and struggle against Japanese imperialism. Attendees took part in laying floral wreaths and paying tribute to the fallen heroes who played a pivotal role in the historic uprising. The site, located in a mountainous area, represents a vital episode in the Korean revolutionary movement led by Kim Il Sung and is a reminder of the nation’s fight for liberation.
Speeches delivered during the ceremony emphasized the unwavering spirit of the Korean people and their commitment to upholding the principles of independence and self-reliance. Officials reiterated their pledge to carry forward the revolutionary legacy, underlining the importance of unity and vigilance against external pressures.
