Paswan’s remarks followed comments made by Congress MP Charanjit Singh Chann about  Amritpal Singh (Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing the constituency of Khadoor Sahib), who received considerable attention during a parliamentary hearing. He is behind the bars under NSA. Paswan unequivocally replied, “The person he was talking about (Charanjit Singh Channi) cannot support this idea. He won and now he has the right to speak in parliament, but if anyone opposes it in the interest of the country, this that. the government will do it don’t shut up.”

Chirag Paswan, a prominent personality of the ruling alliance, further discussed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) senior leader Rabri Devi’s comment on the political dynamics of the government. Responding to Dev’s remark about “of course a Bachao budget” (a budget to save the seat), Paswan confidently asserted, “Nobody has to save the seat. No power in the world can shake my prime minister’s chair during these five years. All alliance partners are confident with him.” These responses come amid a tense atmosphere in Parliament, where debates on various issues have intensified as the political landscape gears up for the upcoming elections in several states.
