Indian Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy strengthen ties at 9th Staff Talks in New Delhi

The Indian Navy recently concluded the 9th Staff Talks with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in New Delhi.

The Indian Navy successfully hosted the 9th Staff Talks with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in New Delhi from July 23 to 24, 2024, signaling a commitment to bolstering bilateral maritime cooperation.

The talks, co-chaired by Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) of the Indian Navy, and Rear Admiral Farizal Myeor, Assistant Chief of Staff Operations & Planning of the RMN, were marked by discussions aimed at deepening mutual understanding and synergy in various domains.

A key focus of the talks was on enhancing interoperability between the Indian Navy and the Royal Malaysian Navy, crucial for joint operations and exercises in the Indo-Pacific region. Both sides deliberated on expanding training opportunities, sharing best practices, and leveraging technological advancements to strengthen maritime security capabilities.
