The China International Import Expo (CIIE) Bureau announced on Wednesday that over 50 countries and international organizations will participate in the 7th CIIE. This year’s expo will see first-time participants such as Norway, Benin, and Burundi. As the 100-day countdown to the event begins, preparation efforts are intensifying. The CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2024, with an exhibition area covering 360,000 square meters.
The CIIE, an annual trade fair held in Shanghai since 2018, serves as a vital platform for showcasing products and innovations from various countries and businesses. It also provides an opportunity for Chinese officials to make significant policy announcements. The expo’s significance continues to grow, attracting global attention and participation.
In 2023, the CIIE, held from November 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, attracted over 3,400 exhibitors and 394,000 professional visitors. The event underscored its importance in fostering international trade and collaboration, with numerous deals and partnerships forged during the fair.
This year’s edition promises to be even more impactful, with the inclusion of new participants from Norway, Benin, and Burundi, highlighting the expo’s expanding global reach. The preparations are geared towards creating an engaging and productive environment for exhibitors and visitors alike.
