In a pivotal step towards bolstering the infrastructural development of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu embarked on a working visit to China, where he engaged with the top management team of the China Airport Construction Company (CACC) and explored potential partnerships for the state’s growth.
The governor, accompanied by key government officials, also took the opportunity to inspect the Beijing Subway, particularly focusing on its signalling system, as part of his vision to make Lagos a more efficient and smarter metropolis.
The Beijing Subway, an impressive network covering over 800 kilometres with more than 40 rail lines and 500 train stations, has been a symbol of efficiency since its establishment over 55 years ago. Governor Sanwo-Olu, during his visit to the Beijing Subway, expressed his admiration for the system’s operational excellence and efficiency.
He emphasized the Lagos State Government’s aspiration to implement a train system that aligns with global best practices, prioritizing efficiency, safety, security, and cutting-edge technology.
