Several Nifty 50 stocks traded in the red during midday trade on March 10, with IT and telecom names featuring among the notable laggards. As of 12:05 PM IST, the Nifty 50 was trading at 24,219.70, up 191.65 points or 0.80%.
Among the top losers, Infosys declined 1.7% to ₹1,292.5, making it the biggest loser in the index at the time.
Tata Consultancy Services fell 1.0% to ₹2,502.7, while Bharti Airtel dropped 0.9% to ₹1,849.8.
Tech Mahindra also slipped 0.9%, trading at ₹1,324.3 during the session.
Shares of Reliance Industries were down 0.9% at ₹1,411.8.
Eternal Limited declined 0.8% to ₹227.8, while Oil and Natural Gas Corporation slipped 0.7% to ₹269.0.
Adani Enterprises traded 0.4% lower at ₹1,991.4, and HCL Technologies edged down 0.3% to ₹1,354.9.
Meanwhile, Tata Consumer Products declined 0.2% to ₹1,100.6.
The losses in these stocks came even as the benchmark Nifty 50 index remained in positive territory during the midday session.
