Nifty 50 stocks traded higher in midday deals on March 10, with several large-cap names posting gains as the benchmark indices moved up. As of 12:05 PM IST, the Nifty 50 was trading at 24,219.70, up 191.65 points or 0.80%, while the Sensex stood at 78,124.65, rising 558.49 points or 0.72%. The Bank Nifty index gained 1.62% to 56,925.35.
Among the top gainers in the Nifty 50 during midday trading, Shriram Finance rose 6.3% to ₹1,048.96, making it the biggest gainer on the index at the time. InterGlobe Aviation advanced 3.5% to ₹4,383.31, while Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles gained 3.1% to ₹342.21.
Eicher Motors moved up 2.7% to ₹7,460.51 and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories climbed 2.6% to ₹1,320.53. SBI Life Insurance traded higher by 2.5% at ₹1,960.74.
Among other notable movers, UltraTech Cement increased 2.4% to ₹11,652.02. ICICI Bank added 2.2% to ₹1,306.82, while Mahindra & Mahindra also rose 2.2% to ₹3,256.06. Axis Bank was up 2.0% at ₹1,313.42.
Financial stocks featured prominently among the gainers during the session, with multiple banking and financial services companies trading higher alongside select auto, aviation, pharmaceutical and cement stocks.
