JSW Energy Limited announced that it has successfully commissioned 114 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity during September 2025, marking another step in its green energy expansion. The newly added capacity includes 21 MW of solar power and 93 MW of wind power, taking the company’s total installed capacity to 13,211 MW.

During the second quarter of FY26, JSW Energy added a cumulative 443 MW of renewable energy capacity, which also includes a 20 MW floating solar project at Vijayanagar. With these additions, renewables now make up 57% of JSW Energy’s total portfolio, consisting of 3,709 MW of wind, 2,213 MW of solar, and 1,631 MW of hydro capacity.

The company’s total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 30.5 GW, comprising 13.2 GW operational capacity, 12.5 GW under construction across thermal and renewable segments, and 150 MW of hydro capacity under acquisition. In addition, JSW Energy has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage projects, including 26.4 GWh of hydro pumped storage and 3 GWh of battery energy storage systems.

JSW Energy has set an ambitious target to achieve 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY2030. The company also aims to become carbon neutral by 2050, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy and a cleaner future.
