The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the Indian squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies at home, which also forms part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle.

Shubman Gill has been handed his first assignment as captain in home conditions, with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja named as his deputy. The selectors, led by Ajit Agarkar, introduced a few fresh faces while retaining the core squad from the recent England tour.

Notably, Narayan Jagadeeshan has been drafted into the squad, while Devdutt Padikkal and Sai Sudharasan also find a place. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar add balance to the middle order and spin department, while the pace attack is spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.
